About the Children and Youth Unit
Welcome to the activity archive of Range Center, established by the Faculty of Education at the University of Haifa in collaboration with the Haifa Municipality. Our goal was to bring the general public closer to the fields of science, technology, art, and the environment through experiential learning and skill development.
A Legacy of Innovative Learning
The center provides a wide range of activities that make learning experiential, accessible, and enjoyable for all ages. The center’s Youth and Children’s Unit operated between 2008 and 2021. This unit is no longer active, but the legacy of the activities it left behind remains available for use today.
As part of that unit’s operations, a framework was established with the goal of fostering the unique intellectual abilities of gifted children from preschool age through adolescence. Within this unit, the center’s staff worked on developing up-to-date content combined with innovative learning methods to provide children with an engaging and empowering educational experience. The center also offers suggestions for activities that parents can do with their children, as well as tips for enrichment within the home and family.
We Invite You to Explore and Experiment
We invite you, parents, teachers, and science and nature enthusiasts, to enter the site and use the existing materials to spark your children's curiosity and help them explore the world around them in an interactive and fun way. Now that the unit has concluded its operations, the digital materials developed remain available as activity pages for your use. We hope you will find inspiration on the site to continue exploring and learning together with your children.
